About Us
Kaski Modernized Academy is an academically selective co-educational secondary boarding shool located at Chauthe, B.P. Marga, Pokhara-14. It covers an area of 15 ropanies of its own and 5 huge attractive buildings. It provides quality education to around 2000 students from Nursery to grade 12. KMA prides itself on the quality of its excellent academic programmes, along with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities covering a wide range of the genres.
Tracing back to its history, KMA was established in 2055 B.S. at Shiva Chowk, Pokhara-10, with 90 students and 9 teaching staffs with the sacred motto “Learn through reality, attend in humanity”. It was established by Mr Ram Bahadur Mochi, the erstwhile Lecturer in English, P.N. Campus, Pokhara. Since its inception Mr Ram Bahadur Mochi has been the Principal and sole Founder of KMA.
The institutional growth is the outcome of the right vision of the Founder, enthusiasm, discipline, hardwork and dedication of the teachers and students and constructive support of parents community. In a short spam of time KMA has been successful to achieve its goal of growth and excellence. We apply modern teaching padagogy along with the use of IT in teaching-learning activities. Our teachers are well-trained and IT friendly. We impart practical education relating the subjectmatter with real life. We provide a platform to the students to identify and explore their hidden talent through inter-house and inter-school competitive programmes of various types. Our extra-curricular activities include quiz, debate, spelling contest, eloquence, art, music, song, dance, essay, poem competition and many others. We provide regular training of music, art, dance, martial art, yoga, acting, RJ, VJ etc. The medium of instruction is strictly English. The learners are well facilitated with audio-visual library, e-library, senior and junior computer labs, science labs, multi-media and overhead projector hall, health service centre, mineral water and many more. Our consecutive achievements in academic sector, cultural sector and games and sports have made us proud and further responsible.

Admission is given on the basis of an Entrance Examination which is mandatory, comprehensive, and has to be cleared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. A personal interview closely conducted by the School Management is compulsory for all students accompanied by their parents.

As part of the application approval process, all children have to participate in an age-appropriate entry assessment for basic math, languages (English and Nepali) and social interaction. This is needed to ensure a smooth and fully supported transition to the school and is by no means a “pass/fail” test. Parent interviews will also take place to ensure that their outlook towards education is in alignment with the school’s values and learning goals.
No. The school believes that every child should have a right to apply to KWS, and does not seek any form of monetary reimbursement for the process.

The official admission process begins from 1st Chaitra every year but as the seats are limited, you will be able to reserve seats prior to the date once you are notified of your child’s selection.
Yes, our school offers varied scholarships to students on a need-cum-merit basis.
Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit as well as criteria set by NEB. Student candidates are required to appear in scholarship exams held by the school for which the school admission desk provides you with the dates and time of exam. Selection is transparent and fair and thus, it is mandatory to pass out the scholarship exams.
